Twenty-seven years ago today, the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City was bombed, setting in motion an effort led by Dr. Clifford Oliver, now Nanticoke Global Strategies LLC’s Principal, that ultimately resulted in the issuance of the award-winning forensic engineering investigation report FEMA 277: The Oklahoma City Bombing: Improving Building Performance Through Multi-Hazard Mitigation (available at: https://lnkd.in/ghkKG7ed). The purpose of investigation, carried out by several of the nation’s leading forensic engineers, was to review damage caused by the blast, determine the failure mechanism for the building, and review the engineering strategies for reducing such damage in the future.
